The City of Arroyo Grande has a specific Municipal Code that prohibits door-to-door sales without a City of Arroyo Grande Solicitation License.  The A.G.P.D. is experiencing an increase in suspicious / fraudulent activity involving door-to-door sales.  If individuals come to your residence or business and are trying to sell you products, simply ask to see their City of Arroyo Grande Solicitation License.  If they do not produce a license, do not conduct business with these individuals, as it may be a scam.  Please call the A.G.P.D. @ 473-5100 and report the activity.  Be prepared to provide a physical description of the subject(s), direction of travel, and any associated vehicle(s).
