MAKE YOUR FIRST CALL FOR HELP TO 9-1-1

When you need help, when a crime is in progress or has just occurred,

Think “Call 9-1-1 Now”.

Recently, victims and witnesses of accidents and crimes have delayed calls to 9-1-1 for help, choosing to call friends and family members first.  When an accident or crime occurs, seconds count and the fastest way to get help from the police is to call 9-1-1 before calling family and friends. Even if you don’t speak English, the first call you make for help needs to be 9-1-1. Language translators and 9-1-1 operators work together to take emergency information from non-english speaking callers.  Whatever language you speak, a trained translator can relay your emergency information to the police.  Calling 9-1-1 first gives the police department the opportunity to give you the fastest help possible and its best chance to catch the offender who harmed you or your property.

Remember when you need help, think “Call 9-1-1 Now!”
