The Zephyrhills Police Department handed out free bike helmets, bike locks and free safety information for children recently at a Zephyr Park bike rodeo in conjunction with Goin Postal.
Lots of happy children attended the event that included Officer Rick Bucy of the ZPD, Volunteers and Zephyrhills Police Explorer Post 520, who all helped to fit bike helmets and promote bicycle safety.
The beautiful sunny day was only matched by the spirit and excitement of the families who were happy to take part in this event. The Zephyrhills Police Department, Volunteers and Explorers work in conjunction with many local civic organizations, youth programs, neighborhood groups and local charities to volunteer time and positive energy for a strong community. |
